Global update of the project, notes for charts and the «Clients» mode

07 May 2019

In recent months I have been working on next update of the project, and now I am pleased to present it to you. The process was somewhat delayed, the creative flow led me far and deeply :) But it so happened that the launch fell on Akshaya Tritya, which can not but rejoice. This special day this year is far from being as perfect as many people write about it, but I found the most favorable amount of time for the project!

I was going to change the color scheme for a long time, but still could not find the right tone in combination with a beautiful design. But now, I think I managed to do it, and working with the site will become even more pleasant and more convenient. He, in contrast to the experimental star style, does not distract at all and does not interfere with the perception of the data, because this new style will be one for all.

I also thought more than once about the name of the project, but “vedic horo” was so entrenched in the minds of many people that I decided to call it the astroproject “VedicHoro”, and the program for calculating the Vedic horoscope is the astrological system “VedicHoro”. Although the “Find the regularity” slogan no longer exists, but I still have ambitious half-crazy plans in this direction :)

The site is visited by many people who are not very versed in astrology, but at the same time they would like to know and understand themselves better with the help of this super science! Therefore, I developed a separate page for analyzing the chart for such purposes. To do this, on the main page of the site you need to put a tick next to the "I am not an astrologer". Previously, such a person did not know where to look, now the most basic information is collected before his eyes. In addition, this functionality can be especially useful for those who conduct webinars on astrology for people who want to get acquainted with astrology more closely or are just starting their way to an astrologer. The choice is available Rasi chart and Moon chart, and the style of the chart can be changed to the north.

A pleasant surprise for those who do not have a paid subscription, but he is used to working in the north style, or he would like to set other parameters for calculations or display. From this point on, the settings become available to all authorized users (the availability of a paid subscription is no longer asked when you log in to the system). Accordingly, they were removed for unauthorized users on the research page (search for celebrity charts), as they can be set in the “Account”.

Another good news for those who, when they first hit the site, would like to personally try out all the features of a paid subscription, rather than flipping through tons of text and a sea of images in the user manual. Now, when registering on the site, an email is sent to confirm the registration. And after activating your account, you have 5 paid subscription days!

Much attention in this update was paid to small things to make it even more convenient to work with the site. I will not talk about every detail, but will touch on the most basic. In the “Charts” section, the descriptions and astrological notes have been replaced by a single functionality “Notes”. You can add any text data associated with the chart and mark it with one or another title. In addition, the functionality of notes for convenience will be available on the analysis page of the chart.

And it is worth noting that if you have previously added a description or astrological notes, these data will also be available in the updated functionality (I carefully transferred all the data). Plus, if you add a chart from the Astro-Databank database to your personal database, then tags, events, as well as links to Astro-Databank and Wikipedia will be stored in the “Notes”. And links to Astro-Databank and Wikipedia on the chart analysis page are now displayed on the menu panel.

I have plans to turn the "Charts" section into a full-fledged astrologer's cabinet, where all the necessary information about charts and clients would be stored. Therefore, I divided this section into three modes (the choice in the upper left corner):

- Structure. Here you add sections, subsections and charts, that is, you form and fill your base of charts.

- All charts. Sometimes you need to display absolutely all charts from all sections, this display mode is just in this case.

- Clients. In this mode, charts are sorted by date added and grouped by month. For each chart, where the day is added, the progress status is displayed in green/red (it changes after a click). In order for the chart to appear in this mode, when adding/editing it, you need to click on the client’s icon next to the "Accept" button.

This idea has been brewing for a long time, and I realized that it would be very convenient to display charts depending on the date of addition, but at the same time I understood that such sorting is necessary practically only when consulting. Therefore, in this mode, only marked charts are displayed, but not all. There is a lot more to add to this functionality, and I have very many different ideas, but I would be glad if you would write me your suggestions for improving it based on your astrological practice. So that you can safely throw away the notebooks and organizers so that the whole process of consulting is visually and conveniently implemented within the site.

All charts from the "Charts" section now open by clicking on the field with her name, and you don’t need to aim directly at the name, as it was before, and you no longer need to bother with the browser and allow it to open pop-up windows. Since this is a key section, access to it is now available immediately and from any page, you no longer need to constantly open the pop-up menu.

On the chart analysis page, its rating is now displayed next to the name of the chart, and when you hover over it, you can see the details of the time of birth, if any data has been provided for the chart. In the “Muhurta” section, the maximum score for the day, as well as the interval of points for events, are now highlighted in red/green. In the “Transits” section, the visual table has become much more compact for a year and the retrograde nature of the planets is now displayed in the corresponding arrows.
